The images below show the construction of the solar farm.
March 2018 - Northam Site before construction
8 May 2018 - Signaling the end of detailed construction planning and the commencement of early site works ahead of main construction - the perimeter security fencing has been fully laid out (view from northeast corner looking west).
24 May 2018 - Looking out over the field as site amenities are made ready. The laydown area and hard stand is being constructed; some of the frame piles can be seen just left of centre
28 May 2018 - Site setup is complete and construction has commenced with array piling underway
1 June 2018 - Array piling continuing in excellent conditions for construction work
6 June 2018 - The Northam Solar Farm substation at Belmont HQ (workshop) prior to fit out
15 June 2018 - The Northam Solar Farm substation at Belmont HQ (workshop) - fit out progressing well
15 June 2018 - Construction of the tracking system
21 June 2018 - Piling is approximately 45% complete and progressing at good pace, trenching is underway and the tracking system construction has commenced

30 June 2018 - At ground level, digging the trenches. Solar panels, or grapes...?
2 July 2018 - Some days the weather is better than others! Some of the construction team in the paddock. Approximately 75% of piling is complete and the tracking system assembly is progressing well.
7 July 2018 - Taken from the west-south-west. Despite the heavy rains recently approximately 90% of piling is complete, tracking system construction is well underway and PV modules will not be far behind. (Image by HEX Drone Solutions)
11 July 2018 - Approximately 35% of the tracking system has been installed. Trenching and cable laying is also well progressed.
18 July 2018 - Aerial shot showing trenching and tracking system progressing
27 July 2018 - Catching a mid-winter sunrise over the solar farm
6 August 2018 - The solar arrays mounted on the single-axis tracking system are coming together
15 August 2018 - PV Modules being mounted on the Array Tech mounting system. Ground conditions, after some weeks of consistent rains are impacting productivity, however the construction team have persisted.
15 August 2018 - Construction activity around the site. Framing, PV Modules being mounted, trenching and cabling. Wheat and canola crops in the background are springing up near as fast as the solar farm.
15 August 2018 - Aerial view of the solar farm with the Mortlock River on the left of shot
24 August 2018 - The Northam Solar Farm substation at Belmont HQ (workshop) - Switch Room and Control Room fully constructed and FAT passed. Deployment is imminent.
6 September 2018 - 80% of tracking system and 50% of PV modules installed. 100% of AC cabling complete. Substation landed on site and connected to the electricity network.
6 September 2018 - View looking from the SE corner to the NW. One of four medium voltage power stations (MVPSs) visible middle of shot.
6 September 2018 - View of the western edge of the solar farm (approx. 6,300 modules in view).
19 September 2018 - Surrounded by a field of wheat, construction at the Northam Solar Farm has picked up pace! 82% of PV modules installed, 90% of tracking system installed, all four medium-voltage power stations (MVPSs) landed and connected. SAT is progressing ahead of grid-connect commissioning.
2 October 2018 - Construction at the Northam Solar Farm continues to progress well. 90% of PV modules installed, 90% of tracking system installed (just the drive shafts to be installed), all four medium-voltage power stations (MVPSs) pre-commissioned and passed site acceptance testing. On-site work force peaked at 74 and will scale back over the coming weeks.
2 October 2018 - Time to start running some sheep between the arrays.
2 October 2018 - One of the construction teams mounting Risen modules on the Array Technologies tracking system.
